The Enclave of Scarborough offers three levels of residential care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—so residents can remain in the same community as needs change. Clinical oversight is available for individuals who wander at any time of day, are prone to elopement, stay awake overnight, or require management of wounds, oxygen therapy, special diets, or advanced dementia. Diabetic residents are supported whether they take oral medications, insulin injections, or sliding-scale dosages, and the community accepts adults younger than 60 who need these services.
A licensed nurse is on site or on call around the clock, backed by background-checked, awake night staff and a 24-hour security presence. Emergency pull cords and personal emergency response systems connect directly to staff. Full assistance is offered with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and care teams can perform walker or wheelchair escorts as well as one- or two-person transfers. A visiting podiatrist provides on-site foot care, and the wellness program is equipped to follow physician orders for complex medical or cognitive conditions.
Apartments may feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate, although not every unit has each of these elements. Residents who choose Independent Living can add medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, laundry service, and a monthly meal plan while still maintaining control over their daily schedules. Assisted Living and Memory Care units are located close to staff stations to speed response times.
Dining services include a rotating set menu, made-to-order selections at each meal, and snacks available throughout the day. The culinary team accommodates physician-ordered diets, texture modifications, and resident preferences, coordinating closely with clinical staff to meet nutritional goals and special-diet requirements.
On-site amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, communal gardens and outdoor patios, a wellness center and exercise room, a barber and beauty salon, a movie room, library and lounge, grand piano, internet service, and a dedicated space for on-site religious services. Mail and newspapers are delivered daily, transportation can be scheduled for appointments or errands, and cocktails are occasionally served by the fireplace. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
