The Blake at Colonial Club offers two levels of licensed care—Assisted Living and Memory Care—delivered by a team that includes 24-hour caregivers, on-site nurses, and regular visits from physicians and rehabilitation therapists. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive prompt help with bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication administration, while those in Memory Care live in a secured neighborhood designed for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Memory Care staff receives specialized training in behavior management and redirection techniques, and every resident benefits from an emergency response system that links directly to licensed personnel.
Care plans are reviewed routinely to keep pace with changes in health status, and the community coordinates laboratory work, imaging, home health, hospice, and pharmacy services when needed. The on-site therapy gym supports physical, occupational, and speech therapies that can be ordered by a physician, and transportation is available for outside medical appointments. Scheduled wellness checks, fall-prevention programs, and chronic-disease monitoring aim to reduce hospitalizations and keep residents functioning at their highest possible level.
Accommodations range from studios to two-bedroom apartments, each equipped with a private bathroom and an emergency call feature, and many layouts include kitchenettes, walk-in closets, or patio access. Weekly housekeeping, personal laundry, and maintenance are standard, and some units offer washer-dryer hookups or upgraded finishes. Not all accommodations have all the features, so families are encouraged to review specific floor plans during a tour. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Residents dine three times a day in a restaurant-style dining room where servers take orders from a rotating menu developed by a registered dietitian. Entrées can be modified for diabetic, low-sodium, or texture-altered diets, and snacks and beverages are available throughout the day. Memory Care meals are provided in a smaller dining space to minimize overstimulation, and adaptive utensils are on hand for residents who need them. A private dining room can be reserved for family celebrations, and room-service trays may be arranged during short-term illness or recovery.
