Savannah Grand of Bossier City delivers two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders, while retaining as much independence as possible. Memory Care is designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and offers structure, routine, and activities that help reduce confusion and anxiety. Both care types are supported by trained caregivers who monitor residents’ needs and adjust care plans as conditions change.
Medical oversight includes focused Diabetes Care, with staff trained to monitor blood glucose levels and coordinate insulin administration when prescribed. The community is fully secured to support residents who may be at risk of wandering, a key feature for those in Memory Care. On-site medical services encompass incontinence management and ambulatory assistance, so residents who need help with mobility devices or toileting can receive support without leaving the building. Nursing staff are available around the clock to respond to health issues or emergencies.
Private and companion suites are offered, and the building is pet friendly, allowing many residents to bring a small companion animal. Several outdoor areas give residents places to sit or walk when weather permits. Floor plans vary, and not every accommodation includes all available features, so families should review specific layouts during a tour.
Dining services include three meals a day prepared on site. Menus are planned to meet nutritional guidelines for older adults, and modified diets can be arranged for residents who require them, including those managing diabetes or swallowing difficulties. Staff are present in the dining room to provide cueing or assistance as needed.
Residents have access to an activity center that hosts games, exercise sessions, and group programs. Planned events often extend outdoors so residents can enjoy fresh air and sunlight when appropriate supervision is in place.
