Via Christi Village Broadmoor is a memory-care-only community that also accepts residents for respite or short-term stays. The team is trained to support cognitive decline and offers diabetes management and on-site speech therapy to help residents maintain daily function and communication.
Medical oversight is reinforced by 24-hour security, an emergency alert and call system, and secured entrances. On-site professionals provide physical and occupational therapy, wound care, ambulatory support, hospice care, incontinence services, and medication management with pharmacy delivery. Personalized care plans are updated regularly, and the environment is designed specifically for memory loss, including snow-removal protocols that keep pathways safe year-round.
Apartments are available in several layouts; not all accommodations include every feature. Depending on the unit selected, residents may have wall-to-wall carpet, kitchenette, cable or satellite TV, air conditioning, a phone line, and parking access. Common areas include a central fireplace, outdoor sitting spaces, and a pet-friendly policy for approved animals.
Meals are prepared on-site, and residents can choose all-day dining or enjoy scheduled service with visiting family through the guest-meals program. Nutrition staff monitors dietary needs and adjusts menus as part of each resident’s care plan.
Residents have access to an activity center, a library and computer lounge, indoor and outdoor walking paths, and a swimming pool. Scheduled events include clubs, live music, karaoke, happy hour, yoga and chair yoga, reminiscence and sensory-based programs, social outings, and birthday celebrations, all organized to promote engagement and preserve cognitive abilities.
