Brookdale Salina Fairdale provides Assisted Living with dedicated support for residents living with moderate dementia. On-site clinical resources include 12–16 hour nursing coverage, routine physician visits, diabetic oversight, hospice capabilities, an occupational therapist, physical therapist and podiatrist. The community also delivers a structured mental-wellness program and offers short-term respite stays. Residents benefit from medication management, incontinence services, ambulatory assistance and a secured memory-care environment that includes an enclosed courtyard and pet-focused programs.
Daily care extends to full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and toileting, along with transfer help for walkers, wheelchairs, standby supervision or one-person transfers. A licensed nurse is on site every day, and 24-hour staff and security respond to emerging needs at any hour. Laundry and dry-cleaning services are handled in-house, and hospice care can be coordinated when required, allowing many residents to remain in place if health conditions change.
Apartments may feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls and cable, although not every unit includes each amenity. Residents choose from meals served three times a day, healthy snacks, guest meal options and an all-day dining program. Low-sodium and other diet modifications are available, and a café-bistro and restaurant-style service give residents flexible dining settings. Those in the Independent Living wing have medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping and a monthly meal plan included in their residency.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, outside smoking areas, a beauty/barber shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access and communal gardens. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
