Parkwood Village in Pratt, Kansas, offers two primary levels of support: Assisted Living for residents who need help with daily tasks and Memory Care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Both care types are designed to maintain residents’ independence while providing the appropriate level of oversight and structure.
Additional clinical resources are in place to address changing health needs. Respite or Short Term Stays are available, as is Diabetes Care coordinated with a Speech Therapist for residents who need help with communication or swallowing issues. The community is secured, and licensed nurses oversee care around the clock. On-site medical services include Memory Care programming, Incontinence Care, Ambulatory Care, accommodations designed specifically to address memory loss, Hospice Care coordination, Medication Management, and access to a Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, and Podiatrist.
Private and semi-private living spaces are available, and some open directly to outdoor areas where residents can sit or walk with supervision. Floor plans vary, and features such as private bathrooms, kitchenettes, or additional storage are not standard in every unit.
Dining is organized around an all-day dining schedule, so meals are provided at flexible times rather than fixed seatings. Menus are planned to meet nutritional guidelines, accommodate physician-ordered diets, and adjust for personal preferences or swallowing considerations.
Residents can use indoor and outdoor walking paths, join Clubs & Communities, spend time in the Activity Center, and participate in Reminiscence and Sensory-based Programs that support cognitive function.
