Town Village of Leawood is an Independent Living community that also accepts residents for respite or short-term stays. On-site medical resources include nurse oversight, medication management, hospice coordination, a massage therapist, visiting dentist, and podiatry services. These services are available within the community, reducing the need for outside appointments and helping residents maintain continuity of care without leaving the property.
Staffing protocols require background checks for employees, and 24-hour security personnel are on site. An Activity Director plans daily programs, and team members can step in with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting assistance when residents request help with self-care. The community does not advertise specific dementia support programs.
Apartments vary in size and layout. Many offer a private bathroom, independent temperature controls, cable hookup, in-unit laundry, full kitchen, and housekeeping, but not every apartment includes every feature. Scheduled laundry services are available to all residents.
Meals are served in the main dining room, and a private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings or special events. Independent Living residents typically prepare some of their own meals, but planned dining and optional meal plans can provide added convenience.
Community amenities include an exercise room, library, indoor pool with whirlpool spa, recreation and game room, outdoor pool, on-site barber and beauty shop, a small convenience store, and a calendar of daily social activities. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
