Monterey Village Senior Living offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living. Licensed nurses are on-site around the clock to perform health assessments, oversee medication management, and respond to urgent needs. Residents have access to scheduled physician visits, coordination with outside specialists, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy delivered on-site. An electronic health record system helps staff track vital signs, lab work, and care plans so changes in condition are caught early and communicated to family and physicians.
Beyond clinical services, the community provides regular assistance with bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living, along with escorted transportation to medical appointments. A fall-prevention program, exercise classes focused on balance and strength, and chronic-disease support groups help residents maintain function and reduce hospital visits. Care conferences are held routinely with residents and families to review goals, and residents can transition between Independent Living and Assisted Living without leaving the campus.
Private and semiprivate apartments are available in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. Units may include kitchenettes, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, walk-in showers with grab bars, and emergency call systems, though not every apartment offers every feature. Weekly housekeeping, maintenance, laundry service, and all utilities except phone are included. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Meals are served three times daily in a communal dining room, with menus approved by a registered dietitian to accommodate diabetic, low-sodium, and other physician-ordered diets. Residents place orders at the table and can choose from rotating specials or everyday favorites, and snacks and beverages are available throughout the day. A private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings, and room service is offered during short-term illness or recovery.
