Abilene Place concentrates its clinical model on Memory Care. Residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia receive support that is structured, supervised, and designed to maintain daily routines. Care plans are individualized, and staff members are trained to engage residents in cognitive and familiarity-based activities while monitoring personal needs around the clock.
Additional medical resources round out the community’s health-care profile. Diabetes management, respite or short-term stays, and access to a speech therapist are available, and on-site services include incontinence and ambulatory care, medication management, hospice coordination, scheduled physician visits, and a wellness program supported by occupational and physical therapists. The campus is a secured community with controlled entrances, and the buildings are equipped with a full sprinkler system.
Living quarters come in studio layouts that may feature kitchenettes, window treatments, carpeting, and in-unit washer and dryer connections. Some residences are pet-friendly, offer cable or satellite TV, and look onto outdoor areas or a central fireplace lounge; however, not all apartments include every listed feature. Parking is provided, Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and select bathrooms are fitted with wheelchair-accessible showers.
Dining is organized around three daily meals prepared on site, with an all-day dining option for residents who prefer flexible schedules. Guest meals can be arranged so visiting family members can share a table, and menu planning considers physician-ordered dietary requirements as well as resident preferences.
Recreational and social opportunities include indoor and outdoor walking paths, a swimming pool, organized dances, happy hours, birthday celebrations, and regularly scheduled community outings. Residents can spend time in the activity center, library and computer lounge, or attend live-music events and intergenerational programs that bring local youth onto the campus. A structured calendar of social and recreational events is maintained to promote engagement and foster community connections.
