Emery Place delivers two primary levels of care. Assisted Living supports residents who need help with daily tasks while still wanting a measure of independence, and Memory Care is structured for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Short-term Respite stays are accepted, which can be useful for recovery after hospitalization or to give family caregivers a break. A Mental Wellness Program is also in place to address emotional and psychological health.
Medical support is reinforced by an emergency call system that links residents with on-site staff at any hour. The community maintains 12- to 16-hour nursing coverage each day, provides licensed nurses for routine monitoring, and manages medications for residents who need that service. Speech therapy and cardiac care are available on-site, and laundry and dry-cleaning services are handled by staff to limit resident fatigue. Independent Living and Assisted Living services operate side-by-side with Memory Care, allowing couples with differing needs to remain on the same campus.
Apartments come in studio and efficiency layouts, and each one is fully furnished unless residents prefer to bring personal furniture. Features such as kitchenettes, cable TV, Wi-Fi, phone lines, wall-to-wall carpet, central air conditioning, and utilities are available, though not every unit has every feature. Select accommodations overlook landscaped grounds or the outdoor garden, while others sit closer to the library and computer lounge, fireplace seating, or on-site parking. The building is pet-friendly, and it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Dining follows a consistent schedule with three meals prepared daily and served in a communal setting. Menus aim for balanced nutrition and consider physician-ordered dietary restrictions. Between meals, healthy snacks are set out so residents can manage blood-sugar levels or simply curb hunger without waiting for the next sitting.
Additional amenities round out daily life. Residents can join clubs and community groups, follow organized health and wellness programs, or use the activity center for crafts, games, or group events. These options are designed to promote social interaction and help residents stay mentally and physically engaged.
