Bickford of Marion offers two levels of residential care—Assisted Living and Memory Care. Assisted Living supports residents who need help with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and medication reminders, while allowing them to maintain as much independence as possible. The Memory Care program is structured for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, providing a secure setting and staff trained in dementia-specific techniques to promote safety and consistency.
The community maintains a broad range of clinical resources. A registered nurse oversees medication management and coordinates with visiting physicians, podiatrists, dentists, and hospice professionals. Diabetes care, incontinence care, ambulatory assistance, and short-term respite stays are available, and speech, physical, and occupational therapists visit the building on a scheduled basis. Families can expect routine doctor visits on site, reducing the need for outside appointments and helping residents remain in familiar surroundings.
Living spaces are designed for practical comfort. Studio and one-bedroom layouts are available, some with wheelchair-accessible showers, patio or balcony access, and nearby parking. Not every apartment has every feature, so prospective residents should confirm specific details during a tour. The community is pet friendly and maintains secure outdoor areas where residents can spend time with visiting family members or walk their own small pets.
Dining follows a restaurant-style model with table service and an emphasis on balanced nutrition. Three daily meals are included, and vegetarian selections are always available. Staff members monitor special dietary needs and coordinate with medical providers when therapeutic diets or texture modifications are required.
Residents have access to an activity center for group programs, games, and crafts, and they are free to spend time outside in the landscaped grounds when weather permits. These common areas give residents options for both social engagement and quiet recreation throughout the day.
