Calvin Community operates as a continuing care retirement community, giving residents the ability to transition among independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing settings without leaving the campus. The health services team provides targeted medical support for chronic conditions, with structured Diabetes Care that includes blood-glucose monitoring, medication management, diet oversight, and coordination with external physicians when needed.
Beyond the core care levels, the community maintains 24-hour staffing, scheduled wellness checks, and prompt response systems in every residence. Licensed nurses oversee care plans, and rehabilitation therapies are available on site to help residents regain or maintain mobility and function after illness or surgery.
Residences vary in size and layout, and not every unit includes every feature. Some apartments are pet friendly, some have direct access to outdoor areas, and regular housekeeping is offered according to the service plan chosen by each resident.
Dining services provide three balanced meals a day, prepared to accommodate individual dietary requirements, including carbohydrate-controlled options for residents managing diabetes. Meals are served restaurant style in the main dining room, with take-out trays available for residents who prefer to dine in their apartments.
Residents have access to an activity center, organized bingo sessions, structured health and wellness programs, and a library and computer lounge for reading, internet use, and small group gatherings.
