Addington Place of Carroll offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, allowing residents to remain in one community even as their health needs change. In the Assisted Living program, caregivers provide help with bathing, dressing, mobility and medication management while supporting as much independence as possible. The Memory Care neighborhood delivers a secure setting for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, with staff members trained in behavior redirection, validation techniques and consistent routines that reduce anxiety.
Beyond the core programs, the community maintains licensed nursing oversight, routine wellness checks and 24-hour staff coverage so that residents have access to help at any time. An on-call physician network, coordination with local hospitals and on-site therapy services help residents manage chronic conditions and recover from illness or injury. Scheduled transportation to outside medical appointments, pharmacy coordination and an emergency call system in every apartment further reinforce the safety net.
Accommodations include a selection of studio, one-bedroom and companion suites, each designed with step-in showers, emergency response pull cords and climate controls; some units add kitchenettes, private patios or extra storage. Housekeeping, laundry and maintenance are provided, and residents may furnish their spaces to feel at home. Not all apartments contain every feature, so prospective residents should confirm availability during a tour.
Residents receive three daily meals served restaurant-style in the main dining room, with menus planned to meet nutritional guidelines and to accommodate special diets such as low-sodium, diabetic or mechanically altered textures. Memory Care meals are offered in a smaller dining area that employs cueing and consistent seating to promote independence. Snack and beverage stations remain available throughout the day, and family members can arrange to join a meal with prior notice.
