The Fountains Retirement Community offers three levels of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—allowing residents to transition between services without changing addresses. Licensed nurses are on site around the clock to oversee medication management, routine health monitoring, and care coordination with each resident’s physicians. Assisted Living residents receive help with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, while those in Memory Care benefit from secured areas, specialized dementia programming, and staff trained in redirection and behavior management. Independent Living residents can access clinical support if their health needs change, making the campus a practical choice for aging in place.
Additional care features include an emergency call system in every residence, scheduled wellness assessments, and on-site therapy services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy delivered through contracted providers. The community arranges transportation to local medical appointments and can accommodate telehealth visits. A visiting podiatrist, lab services, and on-site flu clinics reduce the need for outside trips. Health education sessions and exercise classes are offered to support preventive care, while respite and short-term stays are available when space permits.
Accommodations range from studio to two-bedroom apartments. Depending on the unit selected, features may include kitchenettes, individually controlled heating and air, walk-in showers with grab bars, ample closet space, basic cable, Wi-Fi, and a personal emergency response pendant. Weekly housekeeping, maintenance, and linen service are standard. The community permits residents to keep small pets. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Not all accommodations have every feature listed, so prospective residents should confirm specifics when touring.
Residents receive three daily meals prepared by on-site culinary staff, with menus reviewed by a registered dietitian to meet nutrition guidelines and special diets such as low-sodium, diabetic, or mechanical-soft. Meals are served restaurant-style in the main dining room, and staff are available to provide cueing or plate preparation for those in Memory Care or Assisted Living who need extra support. A bistro offers lighter fare throughout the day, and tray service to the apartment is available during illness or recovery. Independent Living residents who prefer to cook occasionally can use the kitchenette in their unit for snacks or light meals.
