Friends Fellowship Community provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, allowing residents to move between levels of support without leaving the campus. Clinical services include wound care management, oxygen therapy, and dietary oversight for residents who require special meal plans. The nursing team is experienced in caring for older adults who manage diabetes with either oral medications or insulin injections, and the Memory Care program is structured to support residents with advanced dementia conditions.
A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on-site around the clock, and an additional nurse is always on call. All staff undergo background checks, an awake night shift is in place, and every apartment is equipped with pull-cords that alert staff. Building entrances are door-alarmed, and 24-hour security personnel monitor the grounds. Residents have access to on-site podiatry and audiology services, and an activity director coordinates daily programming. Full assistance is available with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from supervision with a walker to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for bed-bound residents.
Apartments are offered in several layouts that may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, basic furnishings, individual climate controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate the space. Some units have in-apartment laundry, while others rely on scheduled laundry services handled by staff. Housekeeping is provided regularly in all residences, but not every apartment features every amenity, so it is advisable to confirm availability during a tour.
Dining offers both a set menu and made-to-order options at each meal, with snacks available throughout the day. Residents may choose in-room dining or reserve a private dining room for guests. The culinary team accommodates physician-ordered diet modifications, such as mechanical-chopped, pureed, or thickened-liquid textures, and coordinates closely with nursing to support diabetic and other specialized diets.
The campus includes resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge desk, library, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for shopping or medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
