Waters Edge Village is a dedicated Memory Care community equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs. The team supports residents who wander at any time of day, have a history of elopement, display combative or other challenging behaviors, remain awake through the night, or live with advanced dementia. Clinical capabilities extend to wound care management, oxygen therapy, specialized diets, and diabetes care that includes oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding-scale regimens. The community also accepts residents younger than 60 when appropriate and provides access to a therapy room for on-site rehabilitative services.
Round-the-clock medical oversight is standard, with both RNs and LPNs on staff and a licensed nurse on site 24 hours a day. Caregivers remain awake overnight, and all employees undergo background checks. Rooms have pull-cord systems that alert staff, and security personnel are present at all times. Assistance with daily living tasks is available at whatever level is required: full help with bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as mealtime self-care guidance. Transfer support ranges from standby supervision to one-person transfers using walkers or wheelchairs, enabling residents to move safely within the building.
Private and semi-private rooms come furnished, and many include a private bathroom, independent temperature controls, and the option to paint or decorate. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided. Because floor plans vary, not every room includes every listed feature, so families should confirm specific details during a tour.
Meals follow a set menu with the option to order alternatives, and staff can accommodate physician-ordered diets. Snacks are available throughout the day, and residents may eat in the main dining room, enjoy room service, or reserve the private dining room for family gatherings. The kitchen team coordinates closely with nursing staff to align nutritional plans with medical requirements such as diabetic or low-sodium diets.
Residents have access to wheelchair-friendly common areas, an exercise room, internet connectivity, communal gardens, on-site religious services, and concierge assistance. Scheduled transportation helps residents reach medical appointments, shopping, and local events.
