Aster Place offers three levels of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—giving residents the ability to move between services without leaving the community. The team is prepared to manage moderate dementia needs and provides medical oversight for residents who are up at night, require special diets, or live with diabetes managed by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale insulin. Residents younger than 60 years old are welcome if they need the same clinical support.
Additional care features include licensed nurses on-site, an RN or LPN available 24 hours a day, and an awake night staff that responds to pull cords and personal emergency response systems. Background-checked caregivers assist with full bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as standby or one-person transfers using walkers or wheelchairs. Security measures such as door alarms, a fenced rear area, and staff on site around the clock help keep residents safe. Podiatry, audiology, and a dedicated therapy room are available on campus to reduce the need for outside appointments, and activities are planned by a full-time director.
Apartment options range from studios to larger layouts, each with a private bath and most including a kitchenette, individual climate control, cable, and the option to personalize paint or décor. Some residences add in-unit laundry, while others rely on scheduled community laundry services. Weekly housekeeping is included, and Independent Living residents can opt into additional housekeeping and laundry packages as needed.
Dining is flexible. Daily meals are offered from a set menu, but residents can request made-to-order dishes or in-room service if preferred. Snacks are stocked throughout the day, vegetarian selections are always available, and a private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings. Independent Living residents can purchase a monthly meal plan that allows them to join any meal service without committing to full dining participation.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, a wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge assistance, a library, special-interest clubs, a new-resident welcoming committee, and scheduled transportation for errands or medical visits. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
