Demaree Crossing delivers three levels of residential care—Assisted Living, Memory Care and Independent Living—so residents can remain on campus even as needs change. The community is prepared to manage complex health profiles that include wandering behaviors, daytime or nighttime exit seeking, elopement risk, combativeness and other behavioral issues. Nurses monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes managed by oral medication, scheduled injections or sliding-scale insulin, and they provide wound care, oxygen management and physician-ordered special diets. Residents under 60 who require these supports are accepted, and the Memory Care neighborhood is structured to serve individuals with advanced dementia.
Around-the-clock clinical oversight is anchored by RNs and LPNs who are on site 24 hours a day. All team members undergo background checks, and an awake night shift ensures prompt response to pull-cord or personal emergency response system alerts. Exterior doors are alarmed, rear areas are fenced and wander-guard technology can be engaged when needed. Physicians and therapists visit routinely; the building includes a therapy room and a podiatry suite, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and toileting, and are trained in every level of mobility support from standby help with a walker to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers.
Residences are offered in several floor plans; some feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent climate controls and cable service, while others have shared or partial amenities, so it is best to confirm specific features during a tour. Rooms come furnished but may be personalized with residents’ own furniture, paint colors and décor. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are included for Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments. Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping, personal laundry service, medication-management monitoring and a monthly meal plan.
Meals are prepared by an on-site culinary team that offers both a daily set menu and an on-order option at each meal period. Snacks are available throughout the day, and residents may request in-room dining or reserve the private dining room for family events. The kitchen can accommodate physician-ordered or preference-based modifications such as vegetarian dishes, mechanical-chopped entrées, puréed selections and thickened liquids.
Residents have access to surface parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty salon, exercise room, movie theater, library with computer stations, spa, walking paths and communal gardens. Scheduled transportation is provided for medical appointments and group outings, and a concierge coordinates additional services. Happy hours, special-interest clubs and on-site religious services are available, and smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
