Villas of Guerin Woods provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care on one campus, allowing residents to move between levels of support without leaving the community. Care plans can address advanced dementia as well as complex medical needs such as wandering behaviors at any time of day, elopement risk, combativeness, wound management, oxygen therapy, and multiple diabetes protocols including oral medication, injections, and sliding-scale coverage.
Nursing coverage includes registered and licensed practical nurses on duty around the clock, supported by awake night staff and an activity director trained in engagement for all levels of cognition. Background-checked team members respond to pull cords and personal emergency response systems, and doors are alarmed with fenced outdoor areas to limit unsafe exits. Physicians and ancillary providers visit regularly for podiatry, audiology, dental care, psychiatric consultation, and rehabilitation services in an on-site therapy room. Residents who need help with bathing, dressing, or toileting receive some physical assistance, and staff can provide standby or one-person transfers for walkers or wheelchairs.
Apartments vary in size and layout, and not every unit includes the same features. Available options include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished spaces, independent temperature controls, cable access, and the ability to paint or decorate personal areas. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are included.
Meals are offered three ways: rotating set menus, made-to-order selections, and in-room dining for those who prefer privacy or need isolation. A private dining room is also available for family gatherings. The kitchen accommodates diet modifications such as gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, and thickened-liquid plans, and snacks are accessible throughout the day.
Residents have access to on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible paths, a barber and beauty shop, a wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, religious services, special-interest clubs, a Memory Café, and scheduled transportation for medical appointments.
