Morningside of Sterling offers two levels of care—Assisted Living and a dedicated Memory Care neighborhood. Residents who need help with activities of daily living receive individualized support, while those living with dementia benefit from programs and surroundings designed specifically to accommodate memory loss. The community can also manage specialized needs through its mental wellness program, short-term respite stays, and diabetes care oversight, giving families flexible options for both long-term and temporary placement.
Additional medical resources are on site or readily available. A secured environment with wander-management technology helps reduce the risk of unsafe exits, and the Memory Care wing is staffed by nurses around the clock. Licensed nurses are in the building up to 16 hours per day, supplementing caregivers who provide incontinence, ambulatory, and hospice support. Residents have access to visiting therapists—occupational, physical, and music—as well as podiatry services and comprehensive medication management. An enclosed courtyard offers a safe outdoor setting, and routine snow removal keeps entryways and walking areas clear for year-round access.
Apartments come in multiple layouts, some with kitchenettes, balconies, or patios. Features such as wheelchair-accessible showers, individual climate controls, cable, Wi-Fi, and included utilities (heat, air conditioning, electricity, water, sewer, and trash) aim to simplify monthly budgeting. Indoor common areas include a library and computer lounge, media center, and spaces for music around the community piano or organ. Cats and other small pets are accepted, and resident parking is available, though not every unit includes every listed feature.
Dining is structured to give residents flexibility and choice. All-day meal service in a restaurant-style setting is led by a professional chef who can accommodate gluten-free needs, physician-ordered diets, and other special requests. A private dining room is available for family events, and snacks are accessible throughout the day to match varied schedules and appetites.
Residents can take part in a range of activities without leaving the campus. The community maintains outdoor walking paths, an activity center, card and game rooms, a movie theater area, swimming pool access, and organized clubs and committees. Scheduled events include exercise classes, Wii bowling, happy hours, wine tastings, trivia, speaker series, Montessori-based programs, holiday parties, and frequent off-site outings, including trips to the nearby YMCA.
