Residents benefit from treatment plans developed to address the cognitive and behavioral changes that accompany dementia, with structured programs aimed at maintaining daily routines and cognitive function.
An RN or LPN and additional nursing staff are on-site around the clock, and all team members complete background checks. Night shifts are awake, and exterior doors are alarmed to help prevent wandering. On-site medical resources include visiting podiatry and audiology services as well as a dedicated therapy room for rehabilitation exercises. The staff provides some physical assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and the community can accommodate mobility supports ranging from walkers and wheelchairs to standby help, one-person or two-person transfers, and mechanical lifts.
