Grand View Alzheimer’s Special Care Center delivers dedicated memory care for individuals at any stage of dementia, including advanced conditions and the unique needs of residents younger than 60. Clinical staff are prepared to manage wandering at any time of day, elopement risk, combative or other behavioral challenges, and residents who stay up through the night. The community also accommodates wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and every level of diabetic management—oral medications, injections, or sliding scale insulin.
The secured campus is staffed around the clock, with nurses, occupational and physical therapists, a podiatrist, dentist, and hospice support available on-site. Care teams provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they can perform transfers ranging from standby help to two-person or Hoyer lift support for bed-bound residents. Medication management, incontinence services, and programs designed specifically for memory loss are integral to daily operations.
Residences include options with private bathrooms, basic furnishings, cable access, and regular housekeeping and laundry service, though not every room has every listed feature. Families can choose the unit configuration that best matches their budget and the resident’s preferences.
Meals follow a set menu developed for balanced nutrition, with staff available to adjust textures, portion sizes, and ingredients for special diets such as diabetic or low-sodium plans. Snacks are stocked throughout the day so residents have access to food outside scheduled dining times.
The building is wheelchair accessible and contains an exercise room, movie room, wellness center, communal gardens, and reliable internet access. Concierge support and a variety of special-interest clubs give residents additional structure and engagement options beyond the core memory-care program.
