The Gardens at Park Pointe provides both Assisted Living and dedicated Memory Care, with programming capable of supporting residents who wander, elope, demonstrate combative or other behavioral issues, stay up through the night, or live with advanced dementia. The community admits adults under 60 and can manage oxygen therapy, special diets, and all levels of diabetic care, including sliding-scale insulin. On-site medical services extend to podiatry and the acceptance of psychiatric conditions, so residents do not need to leave the campus for routine foot care or behavioral follow-up.
Around-the-clock clinical oversight is maintained by a 24-hour nurse, supported by RNs and LPNs, all of whom have cleared background checks. Staff members stay awake overnight, answer pull-cord and personal emergency response alerts, and supervise fenced front and rear courtyards with alarmed doors to reduce elopement risk. Caregivers provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, some physical help with meals, and can handle walker, wheelchair, standby, or one-person transfers. An activity director coordinates daily programs that align with each resident’s care plan.
Apartments are offered in multiple layouts; some include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished suites, independent temperature controls, and cable service, and residents may paint or decorate their rooms. Because features vary by unit, families should verify which elements are included in the specific accommodation they select.
Meals are served three times daily in the main dining room. Residents may choose from set menus or order alternatives, and snacks are available throughout the day. The dietary team accommodates physician-ordered modifications such as low-sodium, renal, carbohydrate-controlled, or texture-altered plans to align with each resident’s health requirements.
Additional conveniences include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, internet access, communal gardens, enclosed courtyards with walking paths, and a three-season porch overlooking the grounds. The campus hosts on-site religious services, a private dining room for family events, a general store, fireplaces, and direct access to Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for higher-level therapy needs. LifeLine emergency pendants, help with finances and transportation, and proximity to public transit add further support. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
