Meridian Village – Lutheran Senior Services provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care in one location so residents can adjust their level of support without relocating. The clinical team is equipped to manage specialized medical needs such as day- and night-time wandering, elopement risk, wound care, oxygen therapy, and care for residents who are awake throughout the night. Staff members develop individualized nutrition plans for people requiring special diets, and diabetics receive care that ranges from oral medications to injections and sliding-scale insulin. The community also accepts residents younger than 60 when appropriate and is prepared to care for people with advanced dementia.
Registered nurses and licensed practical nurses are on site 24 hours a day, supported by an awake night shift, routine background checks, door alarms, security personnel, and emergency pull cords that can connect directly to 911. On-site medical offerings include podiatry, audiology, dental care, and a therapy suite, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric conditions. Caregivers provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Mobility support covers standby or supervised help, walker and wheelchair aid, one- or two-person transfers, full Hoyer-lift transfers, and services for bed-bound residents.
Apartments vary in size and layout; many include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable service, and either in-unit laundry or scheduled laundry services, though not every unit has every feature. Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping, medication-management monitoring, and other services tailored to their needs.
Dining options include a daily set menu, an on-order menu, anytime snacks, and the choice of communal, in-room, or private-room dining. The culinary staff manages gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, and thickened-liquid diets in coordination with clinical directives. Independent Living residents can purchase a monthly meal plan that provides access to these same dining services.
Amenities on campus include resident parking, wheelchair accessibility, outside smoking areas, and pet-friendly policies—it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Residents have access to a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, library, pool, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge, special-interest clubs, and internet throughout the building; a stair glide assists with interior mobility. Transportation is available via a scheduled shuttle for medical and other outings.
