Villas of Holly Brook – Herrin delivers an assisted-living level of care for older adults who do not require memory support. Nurses manage special diet orders and help residents who control diabetes with oral medication, while on-site podiatry visits reduce the need to travel for routine foot care. Care plans are adjusted as conditions change, and the community does not admit or retain residents who need dementia services.
Care is backed by an RN or LPN on staff, a nurse on call 24 hours a day, and an awake night shift. All employees undergo background checks, and emergency pull cords in each apartment alert staff at any hour. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, dressing, or toileting receive it, while eating assistance is limited to set-up or light physical help. Transfers are supported for people who use a walker or wheelchair, need standby supervision, or require a one-person lift.
Apartments are designed for independence and safety, offering combinations of private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual climate controls, cable hookups, and regular housekeeping with scheduled laundry. Not every unit includes every feature, so families should confirm specific layouts during a tour.
Meals follow either a set menu or on-order selections, with snacks available throughout the day, in-room tray service when requested, and a private dining room for family gatherings. Dietary modifications—including low-sugar selections for diabetics and other physician-ordered plans—are prepared by staff trained in therapeutic nutrition.
Residents have access to on-site parking, pet-friendly policies, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, high-speed internet, communal gardens, religious services, a library, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for errands or appointments. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
