Kahala Nui delivers three levels of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—which allows residents to remain on the same campus even if their health needs change. Licensed nurses are on-site around the clock to monitor chronic conditions, handle medication administration, and respond to emergencies. In Assisted Living, caregivers help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, while Memory Care provides a secured environment with structured routines for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
Beyond daily medical oversight, the community offers on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as regular visits from physicians and specialists. A comprehensive wellness program includes fall-prevention classes, blood-pressure checks, and care plan reviews to keep each resident’s treatment current. An emergency call system links every residence to staff members, and transportation is available for off-site medical appointments. Family members receive regular updates so they can stay informed about changes in a resident’s health status.
Residences range from studio apartments to larger two-bedroom layouts, each equipped with basic safety features such as grab bars, walk-in showers, and smoke detectors. Select floor plans include private lanais, washers and dryers, and full kitchens, but not all accommodations have all of these features. Weekly housekeeping, linen service, and all major utilities are included, and maintenance requests are handled by on-site staff.
Three chef-prepared meals are served daily in the main dining room, with lighter fare available in the café throughout the day. Menus are developed under the guidance of a registered dietitian to support special dietary needs, including low-sodium and diabetic options. Residents may choose from open seating times, and room service can be arranged when health or mobility issues make it difficult to leave the apartment. Complimentary snacks and beverages are stocked in common areas, though availability can vary depending on the accommodation selected.
