Avery Village Assisted Living – Senior Community offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care programs. The team is equipped to serve residents who wander during the day or night, those at risk for elopement, people who require oxygen, residents under 60, and individuals managing diabetes by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale. The community accepts seniors with advanced dementia and provides specialized memory support environments. Care plans are monitored by licensed nurses who coordinate closely with physicians, therapists, and hospice providers to keep medical interventions current and consistent.
Daily care is backed by an RN or LPN on staff and a nurse on call 24 hours. A fenced rear courtyard, pull-cord alert system, and personal emergency response systems help limit wandering and elopement. On-site services include medication management, hospice care, physical and occupational therapy, podiatry, incontinence support, and programs specifically designed for memory loss. Staff can offer full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and can manage transfers ranging from walker or wheelchair support to one-person, two-person, or bed-bound assistance.
Apartments are designed for safety and ease of use. Some units include a private bathroom, cable connection, and regular housekeeping, although not every apartment has every feature. Rooms can be furnished to suit personal needs and can accommodate mobility devices.
Meals follow a set menu prepared to meet nutritional guidelines, with alternative options for residents who need mechanical-chopped or puréed textures. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the kitchen team coordinates closely with nursing staff to provide diabetic, low-sodium, or other physician-ordered diet modifications.
Residents have access to wheelchair-accessible common areas, an on-site barber and beauty shop, communal gardens, and scheduled religious services. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
