The Sheridan at Eastside offers three levels of residency—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—enabling residents to remain in the same community even as needs change. Specialized Memory Care programming is available for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other advanced dementia conditions, and the team is equipped to manage residents who wander, elope, are combative, display other behavioral issues, or stay awake through the night. Clinical oversight supports residents requiring diabetic management—whether oral medication, injections, or sliding scale—as well as oxygen therapy, wound care, and special diets.
Medical support is reinforced by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse on staff and a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Caregivers are awake overnight, background-checked, and aided by pull cords and personal emergency response systems that alert staff around the clock. A therapy room is on-site to accommodate rehabilitation services. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and are trained to handle transfers ranging from standby supervision to two-person lifts for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs. Continuous security personnel further back the safety program.
Residences vary: some include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, cable, and in-unit laundry, while others may offer scheduled housekeeping and laundry services instead. Families can personalize apartments with paint and décor. Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping, laundry service, and a monthly meal plan that allows them to enjoy community dining while maintaining flexibility.
Dining services accommodate a wide range of dietary needs, including mechanical-chopped, puréed, and thickened-liquid options. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the culinary team manages physician-ordered diet modifications such as low-sodium or diabetic menus. When needed, staff provide full assistance with eating to ensure adequate nutrition.
Residents and visitors find conveniences such as wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty salon, exercise room, movie room, internet access, communal gardens, library, and a pool. Scheduled transportation helps residents reach medical appointments or local shopping. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
