Sunrise of Five Forks offers two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who require daily assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, or medication supervision receive help from trained staff, while those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia benefit from a dedicated Memory Care program tailored to cognitive needs. Short-term or respite stays are available when family caregivers need a break or when someone is transitioning from hospital to home. On-site clinical support can be arranged with physicians, speech therapists, physical therapists, and diabetes-management professionals, ensuring that routine health monitoring and specialized therapy are available without residents leaving the community.
Additional medical and safety measures include a secured community design, an emergency call system in every apartment, and a full sprinkler system. Nurses are on site for routine assessments, medication management, and coordination with outside specialists such as dentists, podiatrists, and vision-care providers. Residents who need incontinence care, ambulatory assistance, or hospice services can remain in place as their needs change. Apartments and common areas are laid out to reduce confusion for individuals with memory loss, and pet-focused programs are in place for residents who benefit from animal interaction.
Housing options range from studio and efficiency layouts to apartments with kitchenettes and wheelchair-accessible showers. Central air conditioning, cable television, Wi-Fi, window treatments, and handicap-accessible features are available in many—but not all—units, so prospective residents should verify specific features during a tour. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided, and outdoor patios, landscaped grounds, and a dedicated garden area give residents places to sit or walk. Parking is available for those who still drive, and cats are permitted in selected apartments.
Meals are prepared on site and served in a common dining room that accommodates varying dietary needs. Snacks are available throughout the day, and staff monitor nutritional intake for residents who need diabetic or therapeutic diets. Menu choices are adjusted to individual preferences and any physician-directed restrictions.
Amenities include a barber and beauty shop for routine grooming, community-wide internet access, and scheduled transportation for medical appointments or local errands. Pets are allowed. It's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
