Kennesaw Place offers two defined levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care—supported by clinical protocols that address a wide range of medical needs. Residents with wandering behaviors (day or night), elopement risk, advanced dementia, diabetes (oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin), oxygen therapy requirements, wound care, special diets, or age under 60 can be accommodated. The care team is trained to manage “up all night” patterns, coordinate diabetic monitoring, and tailor nutritional plans to physician orders.
Clinical coverage is reinforced by an RN or LPN on staff and a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Background-checked caregivers remain awake overnight, and the community uses pull-cords, personal emergency response systems, a fenced rear area, and Wander Guard technology to keep residents safe. On-site podiatry visits and acceptance of residents with psychiatric diagnoses reduce the need for outside appointments. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they are trained for every transfer level—from standby with a walker to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers.
Apartments are available in several layouts, some with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable service. A selection of furnished units is offered, and residents may paint or decorate their space if they wish. Not every apartment has every feature, so it is advisable to ask which options are included in specific floor plans.
The culinary program follows a set menu prepared to accommodate prescribed diets, texture modifications, and physician-ordered nutritional plans. Snacks are available throughout the day, and care staff coordinate closely with the kitchen to adjust carbohydrates or protein levels for residents on sliding-scale insulin or specialty meal plans.
Independent Living residents who choose to live at Kennesaw Place can receive medication management monitoring. Staff will oversee prescription refills, remind residents to take medications, and document compliance, allowing individuals who need only minimal support to remain in a less-restrictive setting while still maintaining safety.
Residents have access to on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, library, private dining room, and communal gardens. Internet access is available throughout the property, and regular religious services are held on campus. Scheduled transportation is provided, and the community is close to public transit for added convenience. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
