The Retreat at Conyers delivers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care on one campus, allowing residents to transition between levels of support without changing communities. The staff is trained to manage advanced dementia conditions and can care for residents who wander in the morning or evening, elope, remain up all night, or require wound care, oxygen, special diets, or diabetic management—whether by oral medication, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. Residents under 60 are accepted when clinically appropriate.
An RN or LPN is on staff and a nurse is on call 24 hours a day. A dedicated awake night shift, 24-hour security, pull-cord alerts, and PERS devices provide continuous monitoring. On-site services include podiatry visits and a therapy room for rehabilitation sessions. Caregivers offer full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and they can perform walker, wheelchair, standby, one-person, or two-person transfers as needed. An activity director coordinates daily programs suited to each resident’s abilities.
Accommodations range from studios to larger units, some with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable service. Residents may personalize their spaces with paint or décor. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided. Not every unit includes every feature, so it is advisable to confirm specific amenities during a tour.
Three meals are prepared daily, and an all-day dining option covers varied schedules. Menus accommodate low-sodium, no-sugar, vegetarian, and other physician-ordered diets. Healthy snacks are available between meals, and residents can invite guests for meals or enjoy occasional barbecues and picnics.
Amenities include resident parking, outside smoking areas, and pet-friendly policies. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. The property is wheelchair accessible and houses a barber/beauty shop, movie room, internet access, on-site religious services, and a library. Transportation is arranged for medical appointments, shopping, and community outings.
