Watercrest Buena Vista offers three levels of residence—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—so that residents can transition between service levels without leaving the community. Memory Care suites are structured for those with moderate dementia and include protocols for residents who wander in the morning or evening and those at risk for elopement. Each care level has access to on-site medical professionals, and Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses are present around the clock to coordinate care plans, handle medication management, and act quickly in case of health changes.
Daily support is reinforced by 24-hour security staff, background-checked caregivers on awake night shifts, and emergency pull cords and personal emergency response systems in every residence. A dedicated Activity Director designs cognitive and physical programs tailored to each care level, while podiatry services and a therapy room bring routine medical care into the building. Staff assist with bathing, dressing, and toileting when only some physical help is needed, and maintain a focus on resident independence at mealtimes. Transfers are accommodated for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs, need standby supervision, or require a one-person assist.
Apartments may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual temperature controls, cable service, and weekly housekeeping and scheduled laundry, although not every unit offers every feature. Independent Living residents receive household support such as regular housekeeping, linen service, and medication-management monitoring so they can remain safely self-reliant.
Dining follows an on-order model that allows residents to choose meals at their preferred times, and snacks are available throughout the day. A private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings, and Independent Living residents can opt for a monthly meal plan that supplements in-room cooking.
Amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, a wellness center, library, concierge desk, and high-speed internet access. On-site religious services, scheduled transportation, medical-only shuttles, and a town-car service help residents stay engaged outside the community. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
