Brookdale Tavares provides two primary levels of support—Assisted Living and Memory Care—so residents who need help with daily routines or who live with moderate dementia can remain in one location even as their needs change. Short-term respite stays are accepted, and the community maintains a mental wellness program, diabetes management protocols, and staff who receive specialized memory-care training.
The building is staffed by registered or licensed nurses around the clock, with 12–16 hours per day of direct nursing coverage and additional security personnel on site 24/7. Services include medication management, incontinence support, ambulatory care, wound and hospice care, as well as visits from occupational and physical therapists, a podiatrist, and an on-site clinic. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting can receive that help, and transfer support ranges from standby assistance to two-person lifts. An enclosed courtyard offers a secure outdoor option for individuals who may wander.
Apartments are designed for ease of movement and include basic kitchenettes for light meal preparation or a quick snack, though not every unit has the same layout or features. Residents can furnish and decorate their spaces as they like, while common areas provide additional room for socializing or spending quiet time.
Meals follow a set menu prepared by the dining team, but modifications are available for dietary needs such as low-sugar or low-sodium plans. Staff monitor nutritional intake for residents who require closer oversight, and assistance with eating is provided when necessary.
Community amenities include surface and carport parking for residents who still drive, a barber and beauty shop, internet access points, a library, game and arts studios, a therapy room, flat-screen TVs in gathering areas, a piano, and a porch overlooking landscaped grounds with walking paths and communal gardens.
