Freedom Plaza Sun City Center offers Independent Living with access to a broad set of health-related services. Residents who need temporary support can choose a respite or short-term stay, and ongoing clinical options address diabetes management, speech therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, physical therapy and a structured mental wellness program. A physician visits the campus, and licensed therapists work with residents in an on-site therapy room, allowing rehabilitation without leaving the property. The community does not provide specialized dementia care.

Daily safety and personal support measures are in place. Team members undergo background checks, staff remain awake through the night, and a personal emergency response system connects residents to 24-hour personnel. An activity director coordinates programs that align with individual care plans. For those who require help with self-care, staff can assist with bathing, dressing, eating and toileting, and secure entry points supplement the continuous staffing model.

Apartments are configured for Independent Living and may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable service and in-unit laundry; however, feature sets vary by floor plan. Residents are allowed to personalize their space with paint and décor, and weekly housekeeping is provided to all Independent Living apartments. The community’s design is wheelchair accessible, and maintenance requests are handled by on-site staff.

Dining is flexible. A monthly meal plan for Independent Living residents covers the main dining program, and a made-to-order approach allows meals to be prepared when requested. Snacks are available throughout the day, and room service can be arranged for in-room dining. A private dining room is available for family events, and the culinary team accommodates physician-ordered diet modifications or personal nutrition preferences.

Amenities and services include resident parking, scheduled transportation, an 18-hole executive golf course, pool, wellness center, exercise room, movie theater, library, arts and crafts studio, woodworking shop, communal gardens, special-interest clubs, an on-site barber and beauty salon, a dedicated worship space, internet access and full wheelchair accessibility. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
