Aviva – A Campus for Senior Life offers three primary residential care options: Independent Living for residents who manage daily activities with minimal assistance, Assisted Living for those who want added help with tasks such as bathing or dressing, and Memory Care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. Medical support available to residents includes regular visits from physicians, coordinated diabetes care, on-site speech therapy, and the option of respite or short-term stays that provide professional oversight after a hospital discharge or while a family caregiver takes time away.
Additional clinical resources are built into the community. A secured environment helps protect residents who may wander, and licensed nurses are on-site to supervise medication management, incontinence support, and general nursing care around the clock. Specialized Memory Care areas are designed to reduce confusion and support familiarity for residents with cognitive loss. A full complement of rehabilitative services—including physical, occupational, and ambulatory therapies—is available, and visiting podiatrists help with foot health. Hospice services can be arranged when needed, ensuring continuity of care as medical needs change.
Living spaces range from apartments with private balconies or patios to studios that include kitchenettes. Every accommodation is air-conditioned and wired for cable or satellite TV and high-speed internet, and select units feature decks or piano space for personal instruments. Outdoor areas, including walking paths and courtyards, are easily accessible, and parking is available for residents who still drive. Not all units include every feature, so prospective residents should confirm specifics during a tour. Pets are welcome in designated residences, subject to community guidelines.
Dining is designed to balance nutrition with choice. Three chef-prepared meals are served daily in a restaurant-style setting, and an all-day dining option allows residents to eat on their own schedule. Menus routinely accommodate kosher, vegetarian, gluten-free, and low- or no-sodium diets, and guest meals are available so family members can join. Nutritional staff collaborate with medical and therapy teams to align meal plans with each resident’s health requirements.
Residents have access to a range of on-site amenities and programs, including an activity center, library and computer lounge, and clubs focused on shared interests. Regular social events such as happy hour, live music, and intergenerational gatherings foster community engagement, while yoga, chair yoga, and other fitness classes support physical health. Outdoor walking paths and a swimming pool encourage movement, and sensory-based and cognitive programs supplement Memory Care. Scheduled outings offer additional variety and connection to the Sarasota area.
