Brookdale Paddock Hills provides two levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care—so residents can remain in the same community even if needs change. The team is equipped to manage residents who wander during the day or night, have a history of elopement, stay up all night, require oxygen, follow physician-ordered special diets, or need diabetic management by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale insulin. Caregivers are trained to support advanced dementia conditions, offering structure and redirection for residents whose symptoms are more complex.
An RN or LPN is on the roster, and a nurse is on site 24 hours a day for assessments, medication management, wound care, and oversight of incontinence and ambulatory support programs. All staff complete background checks, and the building uses a 24-hour security system, personal emergency response devices, and a fenced rear area to reduce exit-seeking risks. On-site services include 12- to 16-hour nursing coverage, hospice coordination, occupational and physical therapy, podiatry visits, and a brain-fitness program designed for memory loss. Residents can receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and the team is trained in walker and wheelchair support, standby or supervised transfers, and one- or two-person lifts.
Accommodation options vary but may feature a private bathroom, individual climate controls, cable access, and the ability to paint or decorate the suite. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided for every resident, though not every room includes all listed features. Families can review specific floor plans and available upgrades during a tour to find a match for their preferences and budget.
Meals are prepared by culinary staff who offer both a set menu and made-to-order choices at each seating. Snacks are available throughout the day, and a private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings. Dietitians and nurses coordinate meal plans for residents on diabetic, low-sodium, renal, or other physician-ordered diets to ensure nutritional goals are met without compromising safety.
Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, library, piano lounge, café/bistro, communal gardens, and a porch for outdoor relaxation. Each apartment is equipped with an emergency response system, and 24-hour security staff remain on site. Scheduled transportation helps residents reach appointments or local outings. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
