The Lenox on the Lake delivers three levels of residency—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—under the same roof, allowing residents to move between care settings as needs change. The community is equipped to support a wide range of medical situations, including residents who wander during the day or night, have a history of elopement, display combative or other challenging behaviors, stay awake through nighttime hours, or require wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, or diabetes management (oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale insulin). Advanced dementia conditions are accepted, and the team can care for adults under 60 who need a supervised environment.
Clinical oversight includes an RN or LPN on staff with a nurse on site 24 hours a day, background-checked personnel, and an awake night shift. Security measures feature door alarms, a fenced rear area, and pull-cord alerts that immediately notify staff. On-site medical services such as podiatry and psychiatric care reduce the need for outside appointments. Caregivers provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and they can safely transfer residents who use walkers or wheelchairs, need standby help, or require one- or two-person lifts. An activity director coordinates daily cognitive and physical programs tailored for various ability levels.
Residences include options with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnished layouts, independent climate controls, and cable service; residents may paint or decorate their rooms to personalize the space. Because floor plans vary, not every apartment has every feature, so prospective residents should confirm specific amenities during a visit.
Meals are prepared by the culinary team and served on a set menu, with an on-order option for those who want more choice. Diet modifications are accommodated, including low-sugar, low-salt, and other physician-directed plans, and snacks are available throughout the day for residents who prefer smaller, more frequent bites.
Additional conveniences include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, pet-friendly policies, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber/beauty shop, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. A geriatric internist, medication management, laundry and housekeeping, on-site Alzheimer’s and dementia daycare, scheduled transportation, and proximity to public transit help residents maintain routines and attend appointments. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
