Vi at Lakeside Village delivers three levels of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—so residents can transition between services without changing communities. Memory Care is structured to support residents who wander or attempt elopement, as well as those living with advanced dementia and behaviors such as being up all night. Assisted Living offers full help with daily activities while continuing to monitor diabetic residents on oral medication. Independent Living residents can add medication-management monitoring if they choose, giving them access to staff oversight without moving to a different wing.
Clinical resources are available around the clock. Registered and licensed nurses are on staff, with an additional nurse on call 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks, and an awake night shift is in place. The community is secured with door alarms, pull-cord alerts, a PERS system, and dedicated security personnel on site at all times. On-site podiatry services reduce the need for outside appointments, and caregivers provide complete assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting for those who need it. Transfer support ranges from standby supervision to two-person transfers and accommodates walkers and wheelchairs. An activity director oversees programming that aligns with each resident’s care plan.
Apartments vary in size and layout, and not every unit has the same features, but options can include a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls, cable hookup, and the ability to paint or decorate the space. Housekeeping, laundry, and general maintenance are provided for Assisted Living and Memory Care, while Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping and laundry services as part of their plan.
Meals are served in a central dining room with a set menu at each meal period, plus an on-order option for residents who prefer different selections. Snacks are available throughout the day, and the culinary team accommodates physician-ordered and preference-based dietary modifications. Independent Living residents participate in a monthly meal plan that can be adjusted to match their dining habits while still offering the option to cook in their own kitchenettes or dine out.
Residents have access to on-site parking, an outdoor smoking area, and pet-friendly policies—it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. The campus is wheelchair accessible and features a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, movie theater, wellness center, high-speed internet, communal gardens, a swimming pool, and regular religious services. Scheduled transportation is offered, and the property sits close to public transit for additional convenience.
