Good Samaritan Society–Kissimmee Village offers three levels of residential support—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and secure Memory Care—so residents can move between service tiers without leaving the community. Memory Care programming is designed for all stages of cognitive decline and accepts residents who wander during the day or night, are at risk for elopement, or stay up all night. The clinical team also manages oxygen therapy, specialized diets, residents under 60, and diabetics on oral medication.
The campus operates an emergency call system and staffs licensed nurses alongside a full rehabilitation and skilled-care team 24/7. On-site capabilities include wound care, stroke rehabilitation, oxygen therapy, respite stays that are non-rehab, and resident and family counseling. Direct care staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and are trained in all transfer methods from standby to two-person transfers and wheelchair mobility.
Apartments may feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable service, in-unit laundry, and regular housekeeping, though not every unit includes every feature. Residents who prefer to leave the laundry to staff can schedule community laundry services as needed.
The dining department serves set menus with snacks available throughout the day and can prepare meals to accommodate diet modifications such as mechanical-chopped, puréed, or thickened-liquid textures. Personalized nutrition plans support special medical diets, and Independent Living residents may opt into a monthly meal plan for added convenience.
Amenities include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, an on-site chapel, library, pool, and a range of special-interest clubs. Scheduled transportation covers local errands and medical appointments, and a community shuttle is available for health-care visits only. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
