Brookdale Crown Point is a dedicated memory-care community equipped to manage residents living with all stages of dementia, including advanced conditions. Staff are trained to monitor and intervene in behaviors such as wandering at any hour, elopement risk, combativeness, nighttime wakefulness, and other behavioral issues. The health team provides wound care, oxygen management, and comprehensive diabetic oversight—whether residents use oral medications, scheduled injections, or sliding-scale insulin. Special diets are prepared and monitored to meet physician orders.
Clinical support is reinforced by a licensed nurse on-site around the clock, backed by additional RN/LPN coverage, awake night staff, and routine background checks for all employees. Safety systems include alarmed doors, fenced front and rear grounds, pull-cord alerts, and 24-hour security personnel. A visiting podiatrist offers regular foot care. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, or toileting receive one-to-one help, and mobility aid ranges from simple supervision to walker and wheelchair support, as well as both one-person and two-person transfers. An activity director coordinates structured programs designed for cognitive engagement.
Apartments are available in several layouts, and many but not all offer a private bathroom, basic furnishings, individual climate controls, and cable access. Families can bring personal items to customize the space if preferred.
Meals follow a set menu developed for balanced nutrition, with snacks offered throughout the day and kitchen staff able to honor physician-ordered diet modifications or texture changes.
Residents have access to on-site parking, wheelchair-friendly pathways, a barber and beauty salon, a movie room, internet connectivity, communal gardens, and regular religious services. Scheduled transportation is provided, and the campus is close to public transit for appointments or outings.
