Presidential Place provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, enabling residents to remain in the same community even as needs change. The care team is prepared to handle wandering behaviors during the day or night, manage residents who stay up all night, and support advanced dementia conditions. Nurses and aides monitor wound care, coordinate oxygen use, and tailor special diets. The community accepts adults under 60 and is equipped to assist diabetics who rely on either oral medications or insulin injections.
Round-the-clock clinical oversight is delivered by an RN or LPN who is on site 24 hours a day, with additional coverage from a full nursing staff. Background-checked employees perform full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they can accommodate walker and wheelchair users as well as one-person or two-person transfers. A secured perimeter with fenced front and rear areas, staff presence at all hours, and a personal emergency response system help keep residents safe. An activity director organizes therapeutic programs, while podiatry visits are available without leaving the building.
Private apartments may include a personal bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate, though not every unit has every feature. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive help with daily tasks inside their rooms as needed, and housekeeping and laundry are provided.
Meals are served three times daily with both set menus and made-to-order selections, and snacks are always accessible. The culinary staff manages specialized diets, including diabetic, low-sodium, and other physician-ordered modifications. Independent Living residents who prefer to self-manage most aspects of daily life can still enroll in medication-management monitoring to ensure doses are taken correctly, offering an added layer of safety without sacrificing autonomy.
Resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, and outdoor smoking areas are available. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Amenities include a beauty and barber shop, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, and scheduled transportation with access to nearby public transit. Clinical resources such as a geriatric internist, psychiatrist, dermatologist, audiologist, physical and occupational therapy, plus on-site X-rays and lab work, supplement routine care. A monthly meal plan, housekeeping, and laundry are standard.
