Tessera of Brandon offers three levels of residency—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—so residents can enter at the support level they need and transition without relocating if circumstances change. The community accepts residents who require wound care, oxygen therapy, special diet management, and diabetic care for those on oral medications. Care teams are also trained to work with individuals who have advanced dementia conditions, ensuring continuity of service as cognitive needs progress.
Clinical oversight is provided by RNs and LPNs who are on staff, supported by awake night-shift caregivers and an activity director who coordinates daily engagement. Background-checked staff are on site around the clock, with door alarms, pull cords, and a PERS system that alert team members immediately. Residents have access to on-site nursing, medication management, incontinence care, ambulatory and memory services, plus scheduled visits from an optometrist, dentist, physical and occupational therapists, and a podiatrist. Full assistance is available for bathing, dressing, and toileting, while eating support is offered for those needing some physical help. Transfer assistance ranges from standby supervision to one-person lifts and accommodates walkers and wheelchairs.
Apartments can include individual temperature controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate to personal taste, though not every unit carries all features. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are part of the standard package, removing daily chores from residents and families.
Meals are served from a set menu with an on-order option for preferences or dietary needs, and snacks are available throughout the day. The culinary team can prepare modified diets to align with medical directives such as low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, or texture-adjusted meals, coordinating closely with nursing staff to ensure compliance.
Additional amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, an on-site barber and beauty shop, and communal gardens that allow for outdoor relaxation and programmed horticultural activities.
