The Village at East Farms offers three levels of residency—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—allowing residents to move between service tiers without changing communities. The Memory Care neighborhood supports early-stage through advanced dementia and is prepared for residents who wander, are prone to elopement, display combative or other behavioral issues, stay up all night, or require diabetic management by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale. Staff is also trained to manage oxygen therapy, wound care, special diets, and the needs of adults under 60.
Around-the-clock clinical oversight is provided by an on-site nurse team that includes both RNs and LPNs. Caregivers are awake overnight, and all employees undergo background checks. Safety features include a fenced perimeter, alarmed doors, pull-cord and PERS alert systems, and continuous security staffing. Podiatry visits are available on site. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting receive hands-on help, and the community accommodates every transfer level from supervised walker use to two-person or Hoyer lift transfers.
Accommodations are designed to let residents choose the level of convenience and personalization they prefer. Some apartments have private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, furnished layouts, paint-friendly walls, and cable hookups, though individual units vary. Housekeeping and maintenance are included.
Dining services balance consistency and choice. A set menu is offered daily, but on-order selections are also available, and snacks can be requested at any time. The culinary team works with the nursing staff to provide modified or therapeutic diets such as diabetic, low-sodium, or mechanically altered meals.
Residents have access to on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty salon, a movie room, a wellness center, internet connectivity, and landscaped communal gardens. Transportation for appointments or local outings can be arranged. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
