Keystone Place at Newbury Brook delivers three levels of residential care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—allowing residents to remain within the same community even as their needs change. Its Memory Care neighborhood accommodates residents who wander morning or night, present elopement risks, display behavioral issues, or live with advanced dementia. Clinical oversight extends to oxygen management, special diets, and diabetes care for both oral-med and insulin-dependent residents, and the team is able to work with individuals younger than 60 when necessary.
Round-the-clock health supervision is reinforced by an RN or LPN on staff and a nurse on call 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks, the night shift remains awake, and apartments are protected by door alarms, pull-cord alerts, and optional personal emergency response systems that connect directly to 911. Podiatry, audiology, and psychiatric services visit on-site, reducing off-campus travel for routine care. The community can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and can support transfers ranging from standby help to one- or two-person lifts for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs.
Residences include options with private baths, kitchenettes, furnishings, independent climate controls, cable service, and the ability to paint or decorate, though not every unit offers every feature. Meals are cooked to order, snacks are always available, and the culinary team manages diet modifications such as low-sodium, diabetic, or mechanically altered menus. Independent Living residents may opt into housekeeping, linen and laundry service, and a monthly meal plan while maintaining the freedom to cook in their own kitchenette or dine out.
Dining spaces are designed for ease of access and supervision, allowing staff to assist those who need help cutting food or monitoring intake. Table service is available, and caregivers trained in dementia techniques sit alongside Memory Care residents to cue and encourage eating, ensuring nutritional goals are met. Family members are welcome to join meals with advance notice.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, an exercise room, wellness center, beauty and barber shop, movie theater, internet access, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Scheduled transportation is available, and the community is close to public transit for additional flexibility. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
