The Residence at South Windsor Farms delivers three levels of care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—under one roof. The community is equipped to serve residents who wander in the morning or at night, present elopement risks, or stay awake overnight. Oxygen use, special diets, and admission of adults under 60 are accommodated. Diabetes support spans oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding‐scale dosing. Memory Care programming is designed to manage advanced dementia, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses.
Clinical coverage includes an RN or LPN on site and a nurse on call around the clock. Background‐checked staff remain awake overnight, while 24‐hour security, a fenced rear area, door alarms, pull cords, and personal emergency response systems add additional safeguards. On‐site podiatry services reduce the need for outside appointments. Caregivers provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Mobility help ranges from standby supervision to one‐person, two‐person, or Hoyer‐lift transfers, and residents who rely on walkers or wheelchairs are supported by trained personnel.
Residences may feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, furnishings, individual climate controls, cable, and the option to paint or decorate; however, not every apartment includes each feature. Meals are served restaurant style from a set menu with on-order choices, and snacks are available throughout the day. Dietary modifications such as low-sugar, low-salt, or texture‐altered meals are prepared by staff. Independent Living residents can opt into a monthly meal plan that offers flexibility while still providing access to the main dining program.
Common-area amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible pathways, a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a movie room, a wellness center, reliable internet access, and communal gardens. Scheduled transportation is provided for medical appointments and errands. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
