Carriage Green at Milford offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and specialized Memory Care under one roof. The community is equipped to support residents who wander at any time of day, present elopement risks, exhibit behavioral challenges, stay up all night, or require wound care, oxygen, special diets, or diabetes management—whether through oral medication, insulin injections, or sliding‐scale dosing. Staff are experienced in caring for residents with advanced dementia conditions as well as adults younger than 60 who need daily assistance.
Care delivery is backed by licensed nurses on site, with an RN or LPN available and an on-call nurse 24 hours a day. All team members undergo background checks, and an awake night shift monitors residents. Security measures include door alarms, pull cords in apartments, personal emergency response systems, and staff on duty around the clock. An activity director coordinates therapeutic programming, while outside providers come in for podiatry and psychiatric services. For activities of daily living, full assistance is available with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. Transfer support ranges from standby help to two-person and Hoyer-lift transfers, and bed-bound residents can be accommodated.
Apartments may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, furnishings, independent temperature controls, cable, and the option to paint or decorate, though not every unit offers every feature. Dining includes set menus, made-to-order selections, and snacks throughout the day. The kitchen can provide mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, and other physician-ordered diet modifications. Independent Living residents may choose medication-management monitoring and can expect routine housekeeping and laundry services.
Residents have access to on-site parking, outdoor smoking areas, and wheelchair-accessible common spaces. Amenities include a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, and scheduled religious services. Scheduled transportation is available, and the campus is close to public transit. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
