Benchmark – The Village at Kensington Place offers three levels of residential care: Assisted Living for daily support, Independent Living for those who manage most tasks on their own, and a dedicated Memory Care program that includes services for advanced dementia. The team is equipped to manage a wide range of medical needs such as day-time or night-time wandering, elopement risk, behavioral concerns, wound care, oxygen therapy, specialized diets, and diabetes management whether by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale. The community can also accommodate residents younger than 60 who need supportive services.
Around-the-clock oversight is reinforced by licensed nurses on staff, an awake night shift, and 24-hour security. Residents have in-room pull cords and personal emergency response systems that alert staff immediately. Background-checked caregivers deliver full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and can perform transfers ranging from standby help to two-person or Hoyer lift moves. Medical professionals visit on-site for podiatry, audiology, and therapy sessions, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses.
Accommodation options include suites with private bathrooms, kitchenette setups, and individual temperature controls, while some rooms can be customized with personal paint colors or décor. Basic cable, regular housekeeping, and scheduled laundry services are provided, though not every unit includes every listed feature.
Meals are prepared to order, with snacks available throughout the day. A private dining room is set aside for family gatherings or special events, and the culinary staff manages physician-ordered diets as well as resident preferences and cultural restrictions.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, a wellness center, communal gardens, concierge services, library, special-interest clubs, internet access, and scheduled transportation. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
