The Ivy at Ellington delivers three levels of residential care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—so residents can remain in the same community even if their needs change. The team is equipped to manage moderate dementia conditions and the behavioral issues that can accompany them, while also supporting residents who require special diets or who control diabetes with oral medication. On-site medical resources such as podiatry, audiology, and a dedicated therapy room reduce the need for off-site appointments and help maintain continuity of care.
Clinical staffing and safety measures are in place around the clock. An RN or LPN is on duty with a nurse on site 24 hours a day, complemented by an Activity Director who customizes therapeutic programming. The grounds are secured with a fenced rear perimeter, door alarms, and in-room pull cords that either alert staff directly or connect to 911. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and they handle mobility needs ranging from standby supervision to walker, wheelchair, or one-person transfers.
Apartments can feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable service, regular housekeeping, and scheduled laundry, though availability of each feature varies by unit size and layout. Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping, laundry, and a monthly meal plan, allowing them to maintain autonomy without worrying about routine chores.
Meals are prepared to order, with anytime snacks and a private dining room for family gatherings. The culinary team can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chop, puree, and other physician-ordered diet modifications, ensuring nutritional goals are met alongside resident preferences.
Residents have access to on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, internet access, a library, on-site religious services, and organized special-interest clubs. Scheduled transportation supports medical appointments and local outings. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
