The Homestead at Montrose offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living, allowing residents to stay in one community even if their support needs change. The health care team can serve adults under 60, residents who rely on oxygen, and diabetics managed with oral medication. Moderate dementia conditions are within the facility’s scope, and medication management is handled on-site to keep treatment routines consistent.
Daily health oversight is reinforced by an RN or LPN on staff, an awake night shift, and 24-hour security with door alarms and a personal emergency response system that alerts caregivers. Residents have direct access to hospice, memory care, podiatry, ambulatory and incontinence services, as well as massage therapy. Assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting is available for those needing some physical help, and transfers can be completed with a walker, wheelchair, standby support, or one-person lift.
Apartments may include individual climate controls, cable service, and regular housekeeping, but not every unit contains every feature, so it is best to verify availability during a tour. Scheduled laundry services are available building-wide, and Independent Living residents can choose à-la-carte housekeeping, laundry, or bundle those services in a monthly plan.
Meals are offered three ways: a set daily menu, made-to-order options, or anytime snacks. Assisted Living residents receive full dining service, while Independent Living residents may elect a monthly meal plan that fits their lifestyle and calendar.
Residents have access to on-site parking, exterior smoking areas, wheelchair-friendly common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, internet service, a concierge desk, special-interest clubs, and shuttle transportation for medical appointments. Pets are allowed—it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
