Overture 9th + Co is designed for residents who want the flexibility and social environment of Independent Living while still having some medical safeguards in place. The community can support people who use supplemental oxygen, adults under 60 who meet Independent Living criteria, and diabetics who manage their condition with oral medications. It does not provide specialized dementia services, so prospective residents with cognitive impairment would need to seek a different level of care.
Day-to-day oversight includes staff on site around the clock, all of whom have cleared background checks. Team members are available to cue or lightly assist residents with self-care tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and transfer help is offered for those who use walkers or wheelchairs. These services are intended to supplement an otherwise independent lifestyle rather than replace skilled nursing care.
Apartments vary in size and layout, though many feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual temperature controls, cable access, and the option to paint or decorate the space. Because floor plans differ, not every unit contains every feature, so it’s best to confirm specifics during a tour.
Residents who prefer not to cook every meal can take advantage of an on-site dining program that serves scheduled meals in a community dining room. The kitchen staff can prepare dishes that accommodate common dietary needs, including reduced-sugar options for diabetics, while still allowing residents the freedom to prepare meals in their own kitchenette when they choose.
Amenities include reserved resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, full wheelchair accessibility throughout common areas, an exercise room, a movie room, internet access, and proximity to public transportation for off-site appointments or leisure trips. Pets are allowed, and it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
